Qualcomm has announced FastConnect 7800 with Wi-Fi 7 and Dual Bluetooth Audio Support
On top of that, Qualcomm’s connection suite has been enhanced to provide customers with the most recent Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies. Qualcomm today revealed the world’s first Wi-Fi 7 product, the FastConnect 7800 system, which will be available to OEM partners in the second half of 2022. As a result of this system’s integration of Wi-Fi 7, High Band Simultaneous (HBS) Multi-Link technology will be available to users. For example, the official press release states that two Wi-Fi radios may be used to “provide up to four streams of high band connection in 5GHz and/or 6GHz bands.”
If you use the 320MHz channels in the 6GHz frequency, you may expect speeds of up to 5.8Gbps, or you can use the 240MHz channels in the 5GHz spectrum. A 6GHz connection is required for peak speeds of 4.3Gbps, though. 2.4GHz will be made available to Bluetooth and low-bandwidth Wi-Fi, according to a press statement from Qualcomm. A four-stream DBS (Dual-Band Simultaneous) option is also supported by FastConnect 7800, allowing gamers to enjoy jitter- and lag-free gameplay.
Besides Wi-Fi 7, FastConnect 7800 has Bluetooth 5.3, which has a number of audio-centric upgrades. Dual Bluetooth connection is now possible thanks to Bluetooth LE audio and Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound compatibility. “Enhanced connections” allow you to broadcast superior 16-bit CD lossless music through Bluetooth headphones. Additionally, Bluetooth gadgets may operate at double the range, connect in half the time, and use up to 50% less power thanks to this technology.
Qualcomm has also improved its Snapdragon Sound technology to better meet the demands of its customers and give the best audio experience in the market.
